Pro upgrade

New member
Well my AT-Pro finally bit the dust. It's one of the early models #510****** and I'm curious as to what y'all who have got the upgrade thinks about it, I don't have any complaints on how the machine was running so I don't know about spending money unnecessarily. Thanks

[size=large]i believe the up-grade special ended Dec. 31, 2011. will cost more to have it done but cost much less than a new machine and it seems to me everyone who has had it done was well pleased.

I had the upgrade and like it also. The cam locks are nice, but i never had any problems with wobble in the stems with any Garrett's machines.
The extension on the arm rest does give it a better balance.
So if money is no problem, go for it, if not and you were happy without the upgrades then save your money.

Thanks for the input ya'll.I think my money be better spent on that garret gizmo thingy. It' sure a nose heavy machine but better since I keep the sniper coil on it 100% of the time.I've even thought about tying a dozen helium balloons to the end of the coil.

I also had the upgrade on mine. Well worth the money. The addition of camlocks has been great, plus when it returned the first thing I noticed when detecting was that the tones were somehow different, so I guess it was given a software update. Glad I had it done

Don't forget to add the value of the 2 yr extension of the warranty. I'm not sure Garrett will still extend the warranty, but worth an inquiry. I'm glad I sent mine in.

Guess I need to call Garrett. Thanks.

Isn't your machine still in warranty?
