Pro Star headphone info

New member
Looking at them and wondering how comfortable they are ( I have large ears) and how well they work.I will be using a XLT. Pros and cons. I used the Koss e-series 9000 (can not find them)and they worked good for me with my XLT and were very comfortable. Looking to hear from real time users what they think and if there are any other suggestions on headphones .Also wondering what is the difference with the Koss Ur 30 for the Minelabs and the Koss 9000 for the whites they look the same?
Thank you.

Killer B Wasp. The Killer B's have been and are my favorite headphones for some detectors over others, and they provide an audio response that I can hear with my hearing loss. The are comfortable and fit snuggly, and the audio is tough to beat. Then, along cam White's Pro-Star headphones and my Killer B's are now my back-up headphones, for the following reasons.:

>> They have a similar design package so they fit snugly and yet are comfortable.

>> The speaker impedance and dynamic range provides a fairly crisp and brilliant audio and not a more muffled sound like some headphones have.

>> They are made by White's and have a Lifetime Warranty.

>> The ear cup they use is more of a 'tank style,' similar to the Killer B Hornet, which is not quite so roundish in shape, and has a little larger or 'roomier' cup for the ears.

I have been using my Pro-Star headphones ever since they were first announced, and I use them on every detector in my arsenal.

For the dollar I think you will find them far superior to the Koss headphones you have been using. They fit better; block outside noises better; and give you excellent audio. Plus you have separate volume controls for each ear cup so you can balance the response to fit your hearing.
