Phone rang this morning, friend of my wife. Said her husband lost 35year old Silver ring yesterday. Pretty bummed out. I never met these people but said I'd be over around a hour. Matt said it slipped off while pulling vines off his back deck. (80 years old) He tried to find it by racking but no luck. So less than 5 minutes got a real sweet hit , bouncing 87-90. I parted some grass, spotted the Honker half pressed in the soft ground. Didn't touch it. Got up, said "That's a real nice ring ya got. " So he's looking at me. Than I nodded down where It was. He got down and spotted it no problem. I got to admit he was so grateful I got a chill over it. So he pulls out a Twenty he had ready. Naw, that's alright. You don't know what this means to me, and I insist says he. I said how about just Ten, I'll get a bottle of wine. So he runs in the house and comes out with a bottle of German wine. So. A 20 spot & a $17 bottle of Pinot.
Nice sunny day too.
