Pro Pointer Troubles

Yeah, it's my fault. Dipped too deep in creek, drowned it through the speaker holes. Any ideas?
Thanks, Len

It may be OK after it dries out. Open the battery compartment and shake out excess water. Give it a good going over with a hair dryer, but not too hot. Allow to sit for at least 24 hrs. and then give it a try. Everyone thinks the water gets in thru the speaker hole, but in fact, the larger hole is where the light is. If it is still functioning after it dries out, get some marine grade clear silicone and fill around the light hole, speaker hole and on/off switch. You will still be able to hear it (I tried everything to get mine quieted down, vibration is plenty for me) and the switch will still work too. For extra protection, I put Magic Tape all around mine as well.

Put in front of a dehumidifier for a couple of days without the batteries and battery cover on may help.....

you might even try using a wet dry vac around those openings it may help pull some moisture out
