Pro Pointer Seems To Be Getting Weak

My Pro Pointer seems to be sort of lame recently. New battery, yet it seems that I keep having to re-find the target with the coil, and sometimes I even visually see the target before the Pro Pointer rings a tone. Has anyone found the Pro Pointer to degrade, yet still kinda function, even with a fresh battery? martin
 
I haven't noticed that. I don't think I even noticed a degradation as the batter got weak. If memory serves me correct it won't run when the battery is below a certain amount.

What I have noticed is that in dryer earth it doesn't work as deeply, just like most metal detectors.

Does this coincide with the colder weather?

Mine seems to get weak then shortly
after I get the siren signal for new batteries

After that it rtuns fine agin
