Pro Pointer Question

I've got a Garrett Pro-Pointer pinpointer and I really like it. Lately I've had problems after passing over the target in the hole the thing wants to continue chirping and vibrating. I can point it up in the air and it still won't stop. Most of the time I end up turning the thing off and back on again to make it stop. Doesn't happen every time but more than I would like. Any ideas???

Yea Mike,sounds like the batteries.

Do you have a ring on your finger of the hand you use with it, A Watch with a metal band, a metal bracelet???

HH,

ive washed mine in water and its not totally water proof ....moisture can get in the tiny speaker port...then your pointer will act strange.....take the battery out leave it indoors where its warm! not hot!...with the batt cover off the moisture will gradually leave ....this happened to mine...now i just wipe it with a damp towel and it works fine !! what a tough trooper of a tool !!!!!!

I taped over the speaker with black electrical tape...It is too load anyways, and I go by the vibrations...

HH,
