pro pointer question

Hi all, Is the garret pro pointer water proof as far as cleaning it under the faucett in the sink. I was wondering about the speaker hole and on/off switch. Thanks all and HH.

The catalog says you can rinse it off under running water as is, just don't submerge the speaker holes in use. I think most of us have put good electrical tape over the speaker holes since it is rather loud, and this will help too.

I've washed mine many times. I hold my thumb over the speaker grill and scrub off the mud and dust. Keep an eye on the speaker grill when youre out by the way. I can get clogged with mud and dirt and it makes your propointer sound really weird.
