Pro pointer Issue

When I screw the battery compartment cap on all the way (snug), my pro pointer will not turn on. I can unscrew the cap 1/4 to 1/2 turn and the pointer will work again. Anyone else experience this problem?
 
One of the contacts has to be a-skew. You might fix that with a probe of some kind like a small screw driver. martin
