Pro Pointer falsing?

I bought a Pro Pointer back in March. I've noticed that when I apply torque on the pin pointer, it will give a false reading. I first noticed this happening when I stuck it in a small hole and then was probing around trying to find the target. After that, I applied a similar pressure just using my hand and got the same results. Has anyone else had this happen?

mine does that too. I think it is a common thing with the propointer. I first noticed that it falsed if I put pressure against the tip of it when in the hole.
 
Have it happen just turn it off and on again.
