Pro pointer 2 and Garrett carrot??

I have a pro pointer2 and keep hearing about the Garrett Carrot, Is it actually any better than my PP2? I tried to read and watched some u-tube but never felt like I got a real answer. Thanks Brian Smith
 
Carrot has additional features and just color alone makes it better as easy to lose one while hunting....

I would use the waterproof and sidescan features for searching the shallows at beaches. Features that are often passed over.
