pro pinpointer

I put mine in a zip lock bag, rolled the bag around it and then bound it up in electrical tape. I did this more to keep it clean and dry on the beach. I tried using it when wading with my floating sifter, as where I hunt there is a lot shell and I thought it would speed up recovery when looking for a black coin in a pile of black shells. Unfortunately the pro pointer will false badly in salt water.

If you are in fresh water then it should be fine.

Some people put them in those vacuum food bags where you use a vacuum device to suck all the air out of food items before storing them. I like that idea. Others have put rubber cement or silicon (shoe goo works best...It's used to repair shoes and can be found near the shoes in stores or in the glue section) over the speaker hole to seal it, and also over the LED light to waterproof that. Then they put a rubber O-ring under the screw on battery cap so it seals when it's screwed down.

Have seen vids on the youtube with guys with AT pros with home done waterproofed P-pointers river detecting.they just use lots of silicone over the speaker/button/light Heres the link (check out 3:40 secs)
