Pro Pinpointer...have you noticed.....?

I've had my Pro Pinpinter a couple three years now. Great
instrument, but as of late I have noticed that when
I probe the hole and press to hard, the pointer wants to
go off just a little. Makes a faint sound . It never used to do that.
Has anyone noticed this about theirs. It's not really a problem
but I can't help but wonder if it's just too old now after only 3 yeaqrs
of use.

No- mine don't do that, and it's 4-5 yr old, don't know if it beeps or not, but it vibrates ok, I'm deafer'n a stump, so i just feel the vibration, and have the Killer B's cranked up.:garrett:

Yea Robert mine is new and it does it if I press to hard also will chirp on its own once in a while but turn it off and turn it on and its fine again don't seem to be a major problem yet hopefully it never will be time will tell awesome little gadget though couldn't imagine not Having it:bouncy:

have had my for two years now ..sent it back in after the first two months for the same reason ... the garrett technition said that is normal to sound off when pressure was applied to the tip of the probe..

Ahhhh. Well I'n in good company then.
I'm not totally deaf yet but I do have a problem hearing
mine as well. Think I'll try it on vibrate.
