Some guys have suggested I buy a Pro coil for my Explorer II. Who is the manufacturer of the Pro coil and where can I finf one. I have a 10x12 SEF. Love it but looking a smaller coil for trashy areas.

Thanks for any help.

A Pro coil is a Minelab coil; it is newer than the 1000/1050 coils that came on prior Explorers, and newer than the Slimline coil that was stock on the original SE. The SE Pro is a "Pro" because it came stock with the "Pro" coil. The E-Trac also comes stock with the Pro coil.

However, this is a 10.5" coil, so it's not ALOT smaller than your 10x12 SEF. If you want a smaller coil for trash, Minelab makes an 8" coil; you could also try the 6x8 SEF, the 6" EXcelerator coil by Detech, or the X-5 coil by SunRay. These are all good coils for the Explorer units.
