Prizms on beaches???

Hello again. Does anyone on this site use a Prizm series detector on beaches at all?
I ask because a person has asked me if they work ok on beaches and they, nor I
, know anyone who has. This person wants to buy one but wont if he cant find out whether "yay or nay".
Im only asking as a favour to him as he has no internet access.
Thanks for any info at all.
