prizm-classic

Well they both run on the same frequency so there are not many coils to choose from. The C5 has adjustable GB under the flag sticker. So there can be an adjustment to the GB. I would suggest buying a used Classic ID, IDX or IDX pro. There are tons of coils for that detector because they run at 6.59kHz like most of the Whites line. The C5 is made especially for Kellyco and run at the Prizm's frequency of around 8.2kHz.

I have just purchased a Prism III and just registered to this site. Just started a couple of day ago. Its difficult getting started and I hope I have the strong enough detector to find some good treasures. What is your opinion on a III?

I know the Prizms have gotten a bad wrap. They are a good detector for general hunting. Pinpoint dead center. Very lite. Really the minuses are that it runs on two 9 volt batteries. No small coil option like a 4 or 6 inch. Are a bit pricey compared with other brands in the same category. But they will find you some goodies.
