Prizm 9" Spider coil ... worth the money?

Having a Prizm IV with the factory 8" coil I wonder if anyone has switched to the 9" Spider and noticed any performance improvement, or if it is worth the added expense? I use my detector around the old Emigrant Trail camp sites, old ranches, and mine sites, but don't want to spend the money if there isn't a noticeable improvement. Any thoughts or experiences out there about this?

Thanks

If you really wanted to step up to a larger coil, I'd go with the Prizm 950. It looks just like the Eclipse 950 but made for the Prizm line of detectors. For the type of hunting you're doing, I'd just keep the 8" and spring for the 4x6DD for iron infested sites.

Thanks Tom, that is the info I was looking for. Most of the area I hunt is around old homesteads where Prince Albert was King and nails abound.
