Prizm 6-T batteries & coil question

D&P-OR

Well-known member
Is there going to be a rechargeable battery pack offered for the 6-T?----Also, I heard they (White's) are working on a shooter DD for it---are they going to offer a mid-size or larger DD coil for the 6-T?---Thanks in advance, Del

Didn't get any response to my question--(guess it's too early for anyone to know).----Anyhow---I called White's today and was told they will be coming out with a rechargeable baterry pack for the Prizm 6-T (a little later) as an accessory item.----Also, they are considering a medium or larger DD coil for this detector.---I sure hope they do because that is what would really perk my interest in this detector.------Del

Hi there D&P,

This was posted on Oct 9th on another forum by Carl, who is an engineer at the factory:
"I hand built a 4x6 shooter coil last night, and it works pretty good. My ability to null a coil is limited, so I could only run the sensitivity up to the 2nd level without overloading. Production is going to build me a "real" coil to test out, then I'll probably move this into full production. However, the factory is already running full-speed for Christmas, so I doubt I'll get much more than a limited run until January.

I'm also working on a 6" concentric spider coil. This requires some tooling so it is taking longer.

- Carl"
