I have a PV on the way. I would like to hear from anyone that uses it. Pros , cons, etc. Thanks, Ron

A FRIEND OF MINE JUST GOT ONE.I TRIED IT OUT AND ENJOYED IT VERY MUCH. IT'S VERY SIMILAR TO MY CZ-5,BUT NOT QUITE AS DEEP.GROUND BALANCE IS AUTOMATIC.YOU SHOULD ENJOY IT .GOOD HUNTING.

Hey Ron, I've had a P5 for a few months now and i really like it. It's a good machine and it finds alot. I think I'm getting a MXT soon because the P5 doesn't go quite as deep. But all in all its a great machine that you will get tons of use out of. Happy Hunting!

The ground balance is factory set. Although it can be adjusted through the very small rubber plug. I wouldn't recommend adjusting it without calling Whites on the procedure. Hope you find lots of stuff!

Hey Ron. I used a Prizm V for a little over a year and loved it to death, if fact my wife wouldn't trade hers for anything. I got a chance to trade mine for an M6 and I've never looked back. But that's a different story. Pros: super light weight, will get deep in the right soil conditions consistantly 5-6 inches, turn on and go machine, works great at the beach in both wet and dry sand, multi tone is great, and it is super easy to pinpoint with.
Cons: only one other coil to use, the 8 inch, preset descrimination ranges, you might miss some good stuff. Over all its a really good machine. I traded mine for an M6 because of the different coils available for the M6 and because the M6 will really beat it on depth. Hope this helps. Littletwig

Sounds like a good little machine. I like the light ones. Just a thought. Doesn't it have a bigfoot coil available for it as well?
Mick Evans.

Yea it does have a big foot available but there as hard to find as hens teeth. My wife has been looking for one, so I'll tell you about the second one I find. Have fun.

I have a Prizm IV and it's a fun little machine. However, in my opinion the biggest downside of the Prizms is the lack of SMALLER coils for really trashy areas. Mine has the 8" and I wouldn't want any bigger for the hunting I do. Granted, I have several other machines with large coils available if I need to cover a lot of ground. That said, I also have found that I use the standard and smaller coils much more than I do the larger ones, primarily due to their better separation in trashy areas. Get out and get to know it well and dig lots of goodies.
