Prism Series Coil Choices

New member
 Does anyone know if Whites has made a smaller coil, ..say a 5 or 6 inch coil,.. for any of the Prism detectors? :whites:

And if not ...why? ( I need help in deciding on a backup for my IDX Pro.) Thanks, DF.

White's only makes a 8 inch and a 9 1/2 inch coil and Jimmy Sierra also sells a "Bigfoot" coil for the Prism series. As for why no others.....You would have to email White's and ask.
The coils for the IDX are the same ones the XLT uses, so lots of choices for that.

Just get a 6 inch coil for your IDX. You won't need a back up detector because the classics never die.

[size=medium]XLT or XL Pro for the more open, low-target sites. That's what I do because they compliment the IDX Pro quite well. :)

Whites doesn't get to extravagant with the Prizm line, because it is their "Entry Level" detector. As stated above you have 3 choices 8,9.5 &The Bigfoot. The guy who made the wonderful Bigfoot Coil (and a few others) has passed away. I was lucky to get one before that happened (through jimmysierra.com). The Bigfoot is a killer,,when it comes to open fields (soccer, football, baseball etc) it cuts an 18 inch swath on every swing, saving alot of time and covering alot of ground. If you can afford a bigger detector ,i suggest doing so. I outgrew my prizm within 3 months and now own an MXT.
