Prism series and coil selections

:) Does anyone agree that the Prism series should have been designed with a different operating frequency so that the normal coils like Bullseye 5.3, 800, 950 etc could be used? I dont much care for the name either. Also they are priced a little high as compared to the competition. I think they should go back to the drawing board on this one. :nerd: I have heard they are good detectors but I think the popular IDX Pro should have been reintroduced with depth and tone ID and backlight instead of being discontinued. Just my 2 cents. Good Hunting.

I have to agree with your view on keeping the IDX Pro with the additional features. I must say I haven't used or even looked at the Prism yet. The thing that bothers me is the use of the touch pads. I haven't had anything that uses a touch pad to last. IE cell phones, video games, etc. They just wear out way too fast. The mechanical switches last. The mechanical switches on my Coinmaster IV from the early 70's still function today. I expect the same results from my IDX Pro.
