I must be stuck in dime mode , found 7 today, 6 clad and a 1902 Barber, big Suprise.
My first ever wood chip tot lot hunt also, just had to try it TD, no jewelry today, just coins .
Met up with a very nice local hunter around noon and hunted until nearly 5pm, He also dug
fair amount of clad a Very Cool Geo Cashe with a large very warn old coin about the size of a
LC that had been stamped over with Treasue Hunter - Pilot , wish I had taken a pic of it.
Thanks for looking and HH

Thanks Guys , I am having a ball, I had almost forgotten how relaxing this was.
The coin in the geo cache was a 1883 victoria half cent J found, really cool, I might
just have to learn to use my Garmin and hunt up a few

And coinnut, if I were in your territory I would be looking for your colonial coppers :clapping:

Nice post Terri, and I like the old dime.:)

Nice to meet up with a fellow hunter.

That's few and far between around here.

Thanks for the pretty pics,

I thought there was no swearing here? WINTER is a dirty word:rofl: It robs us of our sanity and gives us cabin fever. It steals away our promise to ourselves of doing winter research (ya right!). I hate the fact that I can't detect in the winter!!! Ahhhh, who am I kidding , I was stupid enough to detect all but 2 Saturdays all of last winter. But you are right, it is a bit chilly lately:blink: HH

Oh, You are so right, WINTER is a Very Dirty Word  . You are gonna
have to make us a video " How to detect comfortably in SNOW " :poke:

Terri

No video needed. All you need is one stupid person, some snow and lots of hot coffee, and presto, you have all winter to detect. Kidding aside, I did find a couple of nice relics last winter, made possible only because it was a mild winter and the forest leaves keep the ground from freezing. I do remember using the old hatchet, right around late January / February. This year I don't think I will be so lucky. Soooooooooo I guess I'll have to do some research.:clapping:

See,if you lived in Oregon,on the coast all you would have to do is dodge the rain drops for 5 to 6 months.:look:
