Pretty Lady

The GT and I decided to hit a street right of way in the small town that I live close to. Since I had worked all the parks, playgrounds etc. Hit one of the major streets in town that has a number of businesses located on it. I was finding some clad when I dug a 1940 wheat penny. That gave me hope that I might find something good this morning.

Had an kinda iffy signal. I was sure that I was hearing some high tones and finally was able to pinpoint. Knelt down and started digging. Danged Garrett Pro Pointer has been acting up and it decided that it was going to become a real nuisance. It will start beeping for no reason and keep on doing so until I turn it off and back on. Then it may work for a while or it may start the same thing over again. So I was having trouble determining it I was close to the target. Had a hole that was about six inches deep.

Finally got the pro pointer to working and located the area of the target. Got a hand full of dirt out of the bottom of the hole and target was in hand. Wiped the dirt off it and a big smile crossed my face as the pretty lady (1941 Merc) showed her face.

I certainly do not find enough silver for it to become routine. So every piece I find is special.

Nice one George! I love seeing silver come out of the dirt.
