Pretty Good Night With The Cutlass * lots of pics*

One heck of a night boys! 1894 Barber dime and what I suspect highly is a silver catholic cross.

28° temps finally ran me off. Had a pocket full of clad too. No pics of those though.

Because I wanted to post up finds from the last weekend , found 2 Indian head pennies, 1 1901 and the other I can't date yet, a 1919 wheatie and Oh what I thought was for sure my first large copper cent. Nope a bronze 1912 King George the 5th One Penny! What it is doing on an Arkansas football field is anyone's guess. My thought is it is a WWII bring back. The layer of heavy green patina was thick. She had been in the ground a good while. 6-7" down.

Also a locket that I think is copper with little silver 3 leaf clovers on it. Sadly there wasn't an imagine inside. If there had been that would have been the find of the year :) Lastly is a sweet girls sterling spoon ring that I plan to give to my soon to be 9 year old daughter for her B day tomorrow, you know Daddy has to help fill up her and her younger sister's jewelry boxes they got for Christmas

Good luck out there guys,

Lakota

PS also I am loving this new 10.5" concentric coil I got for Christmas guys. Don't understand why Tesoro discontinued it for the uMax line up.

Awesome! Thats great work for a mid winter night hunt! :clapping: We wish your daughter a happy Birthday today !

The location has been settled since 1887, found my 1906 V nickel there also and a couple of early 60's rosies.

Thanks Mud ,I'll pass along the good wishes :)

Nice finds Lakota, you're off to a great start this year. I hope to get out if I can ever shake this flu bug I've had for a couple weeks. We are really having some nice January weather right now.

Update : The Cross ( now that I got it cleaned) is marked Sterling, along with "St. Joseph pray for us"
Kansas we sure are getting some awesome weather for later Jan. Now get a double shot of Jack Daniels and kick that bug. Don't use it often but it works.

Now get out there and swing guys
