I haven't posted finds here for ages, mainly because it's too flamin' hot here to get out. Today the temperature was a little under 110 so I ventured out for about four hours with my MXT to a favorite place, the old dump site. Using a little Excelerator 5" DD coil I managed to eek out few keepers. This dumpsite was shut down in the early fifties so most everything is from the pre-plastic era....meaning I have to sift through TONS of copper and brass garbage.

I've pulled a lot of really cool coins and relics from here but today was nothing dramatic. I rescued one 1953 silver Roosie dime, one 1944 D war nickel, one 1936 five centavos Azetc and another 1936 ten centavos Aztec, a 1948 Wheatie and a bunch of miscellaneous whazzits. Not great, but not too bad.

Those are great finds,I really like the Aztec coins. I would keep all that junk copper and brass the price of scrap copper has gone sky high here in OK.:clapping:

I love the war nickel. I haven't found one of those in ages and was hoping to find one at the old rental property.... maybe someday. Silver is silver in my book and it all looks good! By all means, keep the junk copper, etc. We've got 2 - five gallon buckets in the back of Larry's truck. One for copper and one for "junk". Copper has gone so high that people are going around stealing it from home builders, breaking into homes, etc. Thanks for sharing your finds and I love to see the pics. HH to all, Nancy
