Ok, going to post this here and the Etrac err, I mean explorer section. I dug a copper coin/token today on land that dates back to the 1800's but the section I dug this was near some apple trees, an old barn. The more recent "farm" section of the land. The pictures suck, the coin is basically behaving like an old wheat penny, so if I had to guess it's from the early 1900's. I'm looking for someone to ID this and point me to a web site that may explain it some more. I'm willing to bet it wasn't just a coin made after he died, but part of a series of presidential coins. That's just my guess though. It is slightly bigger than a quarter.
Here is what the coin has on it:
Obverse:
1841 9th President USA 1841 <----- around the top
A portraint of WH Harrison
W Henry Harrison <-----around the bottom
Reverse:
OLD TIPPECANOE <----around the top
Defeated Indians
At Tippecanoe
Major General 1812
Defeated Brittish in Canada
United States Senator
Minister to Columbia
Died
One Month After
Inauguration
The Washington of the West <---- around the bottom.
