Landed a Indian preserved in a tar substance today, preserved it fairly well It's amazing how somethings come out of the ground:) cheers meditech

I love IHs, but seeing one in what may be original color and tone makes me appreciate them more. That is a beautiful coin, congrats.
 
Very nice Indian. I have found a few wheat cents like this. All three of them were in the same hole and were stuck together. Once I popped them apart which there was a couple of small green corrosion spots holding them together, they were shiny almost just like that. There are obviously chances of finding coins that are preserved in different ways.
