Present from Santa?

My wife asked me for a Christmas list so I was thinking MD. I've got my DX-1 pinpointer, my MXT w/ 12" & 5.3, Sunray Pro Gold Headphones and various digging tools. I'd like to add another coil to my arsenal but I'm not sure which one. Anybody have any ideas on coil &/or other things that may complement detecting. I've been really good this year so she says she owes me big time. I don't want to miss this opportunity..... Thanks for any help HH Jack

S.E.F coils get a 10 x 12 and an 8 x 6 and you can sell the other coils because you wont use them again  Happy Christmas all

IMO, you already have a "small"coil and for most people, the 12" conical is a little to large for general hunting. It is real good in low trash areas though. I would suggest that you get a general use coil like the 950 conical, or better yet (in your ground) might be one of the 10"dd coils. White's D2 or EX10 (Kellyco)

Just as Larry said, I think the D2 would be a good choice to round out your coil range, considering what you have already. It would bridge the size range and also give you a DD..plus it's a great coil ! Depending on the type of areas you hunt, the 6x10 DD is also a great choice especially if you hunt in more confined and obstructed areas. The 6x10's size will give you access to a lot of area the D2 can't reach. If you've been REALLY good maybe you can convince Santa to bring you both...JMHO and Merry Christmas.

I'm with Larry on this too. I love my 10"DD coil and find myself using it more and more. HH John

[size=large]not to forget the extra rod and hardware for it. what ever it ends up being.

I hope Santa is nice to you and you get what you want. Jeff Foster's book is a good choice.

HH, Nancy
PS: I wrote Stacey

Go for a D2 coil on the MXT the D2 coil will find dimes really deep, on my MXT with the D2 coil I've dug dimes 7" to 10". Its my favorite coil for the deep targets.HH

Thanks you guys & gal. I greatly appreciate it and now I just hope she reads it. I hope that Santa is good to you all and if you ever get to NH ( preferably in better weather) let me know ahead of time and maybe we can dig some holes together. HH Jack
