preliminary report on the out law metal detector

Just got the outlaw. and started doing some testing - tried the 5.75" coil 1st in the anoka sand . this is a sand brownish in color and laced with black sand , not heavy amounts the 5.75 was able to get a dime in ground with a diggable signal at 4.50" did not bury it deeper maybe later the threshold all metal was much deeper as i could hit it in ground at that depth and still lift the coil 3" and hear it good then i took the black sand i have wich is 3" deep and put a dime under it and in disq nothing . so then in all metal , .. by the way ground balancing was tricky as it is a very fine point of going eather way but even in all metal i could not get thru to hear the dime i was bummed out . so i put the 10x12 coil on and that got it , and even made some sounds in disq i would investigate=-. so that was nice. Now i know what they are saying about a DD coil doing better in mineralized ground it really is true . so far I can say its not a deep detector but a good medium depth machine and the all metal can handle some very badd ground and still get good depth , the non motion is deep as well provided you are not close to a larger chunk of metal . all for now Gunnar

Will be interesting to see how well it works for you after you get some hours in the field on it and dialed in for your soils.
Enjoy your Tesoro.
Think days are now numbered here, snow and freeze expected for the weekend on. At least I got out last night for a couple hours before dark, dug up some
$3.21.

I have not been able to hunt my outlaw but a couple times. It was different.I seemed to get some falseing in the woods relic hunting.I probably had the sensitivity turned up to high. You Know the false signals from hitting high grass and small sticks.I like it for sure.I liked the way i could quickly switch to no motion, and pinpoint, then back to disc.It is hard to find a detector that has a true no motion all metal mode these days.It does remind me of my old Eldorado.Im keeping it for sure.Right now i got the Outlaw,Tejon, and Golden umax. And looking to get a new Vaqereo, also looking to get the sand shark. :-D

I am glad you got a outlaw Gunnar. But you are such a advanced detectorist.I never thought to see you with a Outlaw?I mean you have come a long way in trying out and testing metal detectors in the last few years.I hope you don't sell the Outlaw.Instead hunt with it and keep doing test on it.Like i said,we need you bad to go over this thing.I know since you got a bliss, switching over to the Outlaw is hard to do.But you may find some kind of edge with this thing. Please don't sell until you go over the Outlaw good.Please?!!!!. :please:

Spirit Relic, glad to be back on the tesoro team, I have owned the Cibola, silver umax, compadre, and Golden Umax, and now the outlaw, I was always in search of a deep detector , and i finnaly found that in the bliss, But thear is a tool for every Job we do not use a standard screwdriver for a phillips screw, and because of diffrent conditions we need diffrent detectors, the outlaw is a good medeum depth machine, it may not be deeper than the bliss but get it out in a soccer feild and it will do better than the bliss 1st in its wheight, and its discrimination abilitys, its very hard for the bliss to knok out the foil i was using and still hit that white gold in fact it cant knok out the foil and get that white gold , So you see the outlaw is better in that way I think its the 1st detector that can do that so well and its nice haveing the all metal modes, not to mention i can put a clean sweep on it ya so far its a nice machine cant wait to do some vids in the soccer feilds. now if I get out to the farm feild its the bliss that goes out because i need the depth I will try to hang on to the out law Gunnar
