preferred coil for curb strip hunting?

Hi all, Just curious what size coil do you prefer for hunting curb strips? Also in your area do you find curb strips to be trashy or not? Thanks all and HH.

Since I've had my E-Trac for almost a month, I am trying to get use to the stock coil.. I also have (2 ) other smaller coils. I tried to detect some curbs the other day,the dirt was like cement , but I heard alot of metal and only (1 ) coin. I am mainly searching for a button that I have been looking for for 30 years.I've only used the E-Trac for about 10 hours, so much to learn and I am using Minelabs stock program with 2 tone. Don't like Multi Tone. I also have my Minelab Excalibur. My (1) day Beach Find June 6,2013.

The curbs in m town are pretty wide anywhere from 6 ft to 20 ft wide, so I use my stock coil, some are trashy some are clean

I let the trash dictate my coil size. The trashier it is the smaller I go, but I seem to split most of my curb strips hunts between my Pro Coil and my 6x8 SEF Coil.

It seems to me my 8" coil pulls out more good targets on the curb sites that I hit. Having said that I normally will start off with my stock coil and work my way down to my 5" coil. I dig anything that doesn't grunt iron. Good luck!

Really like using a 4.5" x 7" Excellerator coil - great for getting in around tree roots and other tight spots.

Stock if possible and not to trashy. Sun ray x-5 for all the really trashy areas. The in between coils dont offer much advantage for me.
