OK folks here's a chance to sound of on your favorite Explorer and coil choices and list what you prefer about the particular Explorer of your choice .

Well i got the se pro and i'am fairly new to the explorers , but from what i;ve seen it is a real nice detector, all i have to do is learn how to use it more. Harold in Fla.

I own the SE Pro and I recently bought a mint Exp II as a backup. I like the SE Pro but you can save a lot of $$ by purchasing a mint used Exp II on the internet and then buying the pro-coil for it.

relic hunting then the EE with the Stock 10.5 coil is less sensitive to bumping trees and sticks etc. The pro Coil seems to false a little bit more with bumping.

The SE falses a bit more on deep iron in the parks. The E2 is more stable in that area. I dig less deep iron with the E2.

The SE allows you to run a higher Sens in the parks, but personally I think that is just "Minelab magic" because the gain is slightly different vs the E2 also. i.e. I run the E2 at 6 gain and to mimic that I need to runt he SE at 5. -- "Minelab magic" Just shift the sens/gain a notch and it appears that that SE goes deeper. Just my opinion and unscientific theory!! ;)

Now if they would put the quicker processor of the E-Trac in the Explorer we would have a winner. And yes I have tried the E-Trac and if I had never used the Explorer, I probably would have loved it. But I have used the Explorer, so I sold it!!
