I knew I had to get into this playground very early for two reasons (1) the weather has been so hot I didn't want to be out in it much today and here is reason (2):
<p align=center><img src="http://coinshooter.owly.net/062805/Sign.jpg"></p></center>
This is an old school used by a local college to educate students in how to be teachers and such and even though its summer this place is still open to kids during the week.
I had a small clip (I have a few extras if you'd like one) that I attach to the detector shaft and is quite secure and then added my small pen light flashlight .
<p align=left><img src="http://coinshooter.owly.net/062805/Clip.jpg"></p></left> <p align=right><img src="http://coinshooter.owly.net/062805/Flashlight.jpg"></p></right>
It gave off enough light so I didn't bump the coil into things and came off easily so I could light up where I was digging. The detector has backlight capability so it was easy to see the display panel.
The first find was this ring - one of those mood rings
<p align=center><img src="http://coinshooter.owly.net/062805/MoodRing.jpg"></p></center>
I didn't find a lot of change but was thankful to God for each item found
<p align=center><img src="http://coinshooter.owly.net/062805/062805Finds.jpg"></p></center>
Total was $1.47
I did find another car for the collection:
<p align=center><img src="http://coinshooter.owly.net/062805/Car.jpg"></p></center>
While digging in the sandy area I found this small metal button. I wish the closeup was in better detail as this has a very interesting design on it
<p align=center><img src="http://coinshooter.owly.net/062805/Button.jpg"></p></center>
As I was digging up the button I kept running across colored things (still dark) that weren't metal. Not sure if they are from some game or what but interesting finds. The one looks like a lighthouse. Thought it was a chess piece at first.

Still digging in that sand pit. Now when I first saw the pit of sand I thought to myself this is a waste. Maybe I will get a toy car or some pennies but otherwise it will be a waste of my time. How wrong I was!
As daylight neared and I started digging yet another deep hole (well 5 inches)
I was shocked to pull this (my first 1899 V nickel?) The pic doesn't do this justice:
<p align=left><img src="http://coinshooter.owly.net/062805/1899%20V%20Nickel.jpg"></p></left><p align=right><img src="http://coinshooter.owly.net/062805/1899%20V%20Nickel2.jpg"></p></right>
That made getting out of bed arounf 4 am worth the trouble of going out in the dark to detect. (Kept looking over my shoulder expecting the Police to come and ask me what I was doing).
In this same sand pit I found this item. Can anyone guess or know what it might be?

I left that playground about 6:30 and since it was still cool I thought maybe I should hit another school playground before it got hot. Some of the coins above were found at the school I went to. God has blessed me so much lately. He once again blessed me with this:
<p align=center><img src="http://coinshooter.owly.net/062805/Cross3.jpg"></p></center>
It feels heavy and silver with 10 stones (all there too). She sure shines pretty once it was cleaned off.
That topped off my day. Thank you Father God for the fun day and the excellent treasures you have lead me to find this day. Thank you Lord Jesus for being with me too.
