Pre-Blizzard Finds...Awesome!

Blizzard, schmizzard. Well, I hope and pray those to the south deal with the predicated blizzard conditions well. Here in Albany, we should get 12"-14"; just enough to slow us down for a day. So, before the anti-metal detecting weather settles in, I went in to the woods and attempted to chop away at signals from the frozen ground. It was worth it. The silver plated spoon and the odd looking widget (that states, "B.O. Co. Binghamton N.Y.) were from a nearby cellar hole where I have pulled some Wheaties recently. The Wheatie (1945 D) and ring was from an area where hunters parked themselves during the 60's and threw enough beer cans and pull tabs to drive enough the venerable AT Pro nutsy. The ring was a complete surprise and "day-maker". It states "STERLING M-H" inside, but, the big questions; is it an emerald? Hope so.

MH Probably stands for It probably means it was produced by McGrath-Hamin, a Rhode Island jeweler (around 1951?)

Wow Congrats! It sure looks like a real stone!! Good luck if you get it examined

That stone looks promising! Very nice ring, either way!

Sterling silver is good and emeralds are better. Hope it's real. Persistence pays off.
