Prayers requested for bad knee

New member
Several years ago while digging relics I really messed up my left knee.

Since then I've been able to detect about 1/10 as much.

Now just recently that thing is really getting bad.

I've been to a surgeon but if you know anything about knee cases they want you half dead before they'll operate.

So, I limp around and look at my fine machines standing in the corner of our bedroom.

More importantly I still have a year before I retire. And as everyone knows we all work harder after retirement.

I'd appreciate your prayers about this knee issue.

Thanks,

Bayou - You are rtight about retirement and the body. I've been retired a while and use my body for digging and always have to take care. I'll pray for healing.

My son lives in the Morgan City area - we go there 2 times a year. I have dug relics along the Red River route, &*%$# clay ! Steve in so az

will keep you in prayer

I shall pray for the Great Physician, Jesus, to touch your knee with His healing virture and make you well and strong! Let the joy of the Lord be your strength and give God praise always by glorifying His holy name, Jesus! God Bless! Betty

got knee problems myself from a motorcycle wreck some 30 years ago. Sometimes after a day of detecting it acts up, but just take a couple of Tylenol Arthritis pain pills, and it helps. Next step is surgery, and that is a last resort for me.

Prayer - you got it!

Have bad knees as well. Had one operated on and honestly, you really need to be unable to use the puppy before you should go for surgery! Had nothing but problems since with it, but at least it works again.

Has yours had an MRI or CAT on it? Super pricey but would show any tissue damage or bone damage. Aleve, Advil, Aspercreme are all pretty handy at controlling the pain. If you are having fluid build up in the knee forget Aleve and watch how much Advil you use.

I use the KneePro pads. Great for about three hours then I have to give up because the knees start to hurt again. But, worth the expense when the alternative is no kneeling at all.

Hi and thanks for the info.

I haven't had the MRI yet but I did see a local surgeon who is a Christian too (very rare these days).

He told me to lose weight or he'd be seeing me in about 5 years. That was about 4 years ago and I didn't lose weight

I'm working on it now but it's difficult when you can't exercise due to bad knees and very bad low back. Before the knee problem I could fast walk several miles with no problem.

My left knee feels like it has a broken bottle in it. I can't kneel anymore at all. I only go detecting at wild sites where I can stand up and use a shovel. I have one of those with holes in it to sift dirt.

You're the first person I've heard from who had problems after knee surgery. All I've talked to say they greatly improved after surgery.

As it is now about 70% of my living has ended due to not being able to do so many things I used to do.

Thanks again for your good information and concern.
