My plans for a fall hunt with the club is shot down. Small price to pay but Mike from MI there is no way I will be there again this year. I don't have your email addy on this laptop so can't even send you another email.
Here's the situation:
My mother-in-law called me yesterday stating she is confused. She was home but could not recall where I live, what our house looks like and many other things. She said she thinks she might have had a stroke and lost part of her memory. All plans and responsibilities at home dictated we get up to Roscommon to Sherry's Mom ASAP.
She doesn't live alone. She has a husband who himself has had many strokes and is partially paralyzed. There is a live in guy (Paul) who is a help and caretaker of the place to help out Renee (Sherry's Mom). Problems on top of problems. Seems Ed (Renee's husband) has several perscriptions that have run out and only Renee knows whether they have been called in to be refilled. She only knows what her finances are like, Paul mentioned there was no food in the house and Paul hasn't been paid his usual 'allowance'
so the only one who knows or knew what is going on is in the hospital now and can't remember. Seems the possible stroke happened a couple days earlier before she called me.
We don't have the finances to magically solve all the problems. As it stands, Renee is to be hospitalized for about a week. Sherry and Casey will have to stay up here for a week as the hospital needs someone local to be with her, Obviously Paul can't do it nor her husband. Sherry's business has orders to be filled only she can do and it will cause yet more problems as one of the new clients is having a 'grand opening' on Saturday of this coming week but now she will not have the supplies she needs.
Domino affect is a terrible thing right now. This morning I will have to drive back to Lansing with Casey, get extra clothing for a week's stay for Sherry and Casey, drive back up here and later drive back to Lansing again so I can be to work on Monday. So you see Mike in MI there is no way I could make it to the club hunt today no matter how much I wanted to. I will pay for the hunt anyway as though I were there to defray the cost of the extra coins and such you had to buy anticipating me being there. Will just have to pay maybe at weeks end when i get some money into the house again. Send my regards to the club members and hope you all have a great time today at the fall hunt.
So there is a lot of needs that have to be prayed for with some real quick answers from God. Only good news to this point is Renee's problems could be the result of a urinary tract infection and not a stroke. Tests are going to be run tomorrow so we will know more after that.
Now for even more problems. I asked earlier for prayers for my step-mother Barb who had fallen out of bed breaking her leg (one she had polio in as a child). I went to see her the morning of the surgery and I was shocked. She was so thin and frail - almost appearing to be at death's door. I wasn't prepared for that. Since I found she did ok through the surgery but once again those who need help are far away. My Dad cannot handle her medical needs. She never goes anywhere just sits on a couch, smokes, complains, etc. She really needs to be in a nursing home but the last time she went to one she was kicked out of the nursing home for being way beyond rude to the staff and others at the home. As I say my Dad can't do the things a nursing home can do for her. He needs help financially, emotionally and spiritually. I can't be there for him right now. One of the big reasons we wanted to be moved up north to be there when our parents needed us the most.
We are stretched to our wits ends. Sherry will be losing one of her jobs soon - in fact she won't even be able to do the job this week because she will be up here instead of in Lansing. Sure beginning to think I need the patience of Job to get through all this. I know God has a positive ending to all this. Sure wish the house would sell so we could get up here but even now we are spread so thin if our house sold today then a whole new situation will be tossed on top of it all.
Added to all this Sherry's sister is going through a rough time as her meds are being adjusted and she too is having prblems dealing with day to day routine let alone being able to help in any way with wht is going on up here at her Mom's.
This is going to take some powerfilled praying to get things back to 'normal' with all that is going on. Felt bad I haven't seen much of Sherry since starting my new job at the het treating company and will be seeing less of her this week.
As much as I dislike the work I am doing at the heat treating company because of the pain it causes to my lower back, my shoulders and doing repetitive hand movements (back to carpal tunnel problems again), there is no way I cann afford to leave this position with our finances being stretched to the limit now as well.
Sorry for the long update on everything going on. I won't be on the computer much at all today. This is pretty much my 'one phone call' so to speak for today to let you all know what is going on and your prayers are needed. Thanks for keeping us and our families in your prayers.
