Hi Guys,
Last May after being in the hospital for 2 seizures, the Neurologist put me on Keppra (seizure med) and Procardia XL (for the vascular pressure in my brain, it prevents me from having a stroke). When you have seizures you blood pressure goes crazy.
I started getting sores on my body and my Neurologist sent me to a determatologist who had to give me a shot in one bad infected area. She wanted me to come back and do a biopsy to find out what medication was causing the sores. Since I had to pay for it and the insurance co cut my benefits off, we had to cancel the biopsies. I take aprox $1,400 in medicines a month for my brain injury.
I got a sore in my arm pit, it festered and then it drained, I got another sore which festered and was draining. This morning I had another one the size of an egg. Had to go to the hospital. The damn sores have abscessed. I have to see a surgeon on Tuesday, they will either put me in the hospital, cut the abscess open, clean it, I guess pack it, whatever that means and let me go or I may loose my right breast.
Keep me in your prayers. I have the worst luck. If all works out positively, maybe I will have a hiding place on my body! Ha, Ha.
Love you all and will let you know Tuesday what the surgeon says. He is the same guy who did my hysterectomy.. I am really going to be angry at Citizens Insurance for stopping my benefits if they find out its one of those meds when they do their biopsy on the tissue.
