I got this email this morning. First it is totally unlike her to write me about anything - she will send me millions of forwards but not a word about what is going on in their lives. This is a first. Here's my sister's email to me: (Phil is her husband)
"How are you two doing? We are alive and fine. The kids are doing well in school. Phil is not sure when he will be laid off but we feel that it is coming down the line. I had a car accident on Jan 11th. Needless to say making a left hand turn into your drive can be hazardous to your health especially if someone is passing you on the left and driving faster than the speed limit. So They rushed me to emergency put 14 staples in my head took x-rays and a cat scan. My cat meowed with a spot. At first it was thought to be a broken blood vessel. Then 2 more cat scans later they decided that it was a tumor and ran an mri. The mri said it is a begine tumor. The tumor is a cranial meningiomas in the left temporal lobe. I figure by this time it is coming out. If it grows any bigger that it will penetrate the
brain and mess up my speech and my memory. Phil and I decided to wait till June until I thought more and talked to others and it is best I have it done as soon as the head is healed from the car accident. Which will properly be the end of February or the beginning of March. The surgeon figures the tumor has been there between 5 and 10 years. So such is the life in the fast lane. We will keep you appraised as go.

Thank you for your prayers.
