Had an urgent feeling to get to see him - been about a month or so since I last saw him and he looked too thin then. The nagging feeling had me up at 6 a.m. and on the way to his place by 7:30. I feared I would get there and find his corpse. Thank God he is still alive but even thinner than before. He asked me to go with him so he could show me where to go when he died and needed to get his retirement benefits/life insurance taken care of to help pay for his funeral.
He pointed to the china cabinet and told me to take anything I wanted out of it. My step-Mom had been collecting a few things before she died and he didn't know what to do with them so he told me to take it all or whatever. He just wanted it gone. Brought home almost everything but no clue what I will do with any of the items yet.
I had a tract in my pocket - that I brought along intentionally. I told him I would only ask one thing of him and that is to read the tract and if it touched him in anyway I would be happy. I asked that he not just throw it away or let it sit unread.
Please pray that he accepts God's salvation through Jesus. I don't think he has much longer if he continues in his lose of weight. Still trying to get him to go to church regularly and to stay for the meals afterwards = make some new friends and put some meat on his bones. He could use both. If nothing else I pray he reads the tract and accepts Jesus as his Lord and Savior.
I don;t want to lose him - and especially if he is not saved. Please pray that God's will for him be done. Thanks everyone.
