Just wanted to thank all of you for your prayers for Jessie. Her scan went well and Friday. She had no problems with the sedation or the side effects of the anesthesia. Today, I talked to the nurse of the specialist in Grand Rapids. She said that we did not need to worry about any restrictions for Jessica. The paper work and referrals are being sent over to the hospital in Ann Arbor. Our next appointment (in Grand Rapids) isn't until January 3. The specialist told us that as soon as they have a date for the doctor in Ann Arbor, they will contact us. Although, the waiting part is not easy, it does mean that Jessica is not in any imminent danger. This is very encouraging to us. One of the concerns with the doctor was that there may be additional bone fragments on the spine. Jessie will be fitted for a helmet tomorrow. We can start the physical therapy again with her. Thank you God for your answers!
Also, please keep Jared Sweet and his family in your prayers. Jared was diagnosed with Duschenne's Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) last week. In about a month, Jeff and Sue will be taking him to Cinncinati Children's Hospital in Ohio. Sue said this was the "mecca' of DMD. They are hopeful.
Thank you as always
