Prayer request

Sailorman

New member
So I have had 10 hours of sleep this week and spent all last night in the ER with my 86 year old mom. All so they could say "Ahhhiiiiiidunnnooooo" and send her home in pretty much the same condition that brought her in except she was now full of much needed fluids.

Between her Alzheimers, wife's MS stuff, business (or what's left of it in this recovering  economy) 45 minute commutes (I actually had an exhaustion induced hallucination on the way in this morning) and a bunch of other stuff I'm asking for prayer to sustain my family and myself through this mess. Guess the old farmers line from where I grew up is at work "Things ain't never so bad but what they can't get worse!"

Mom seems to be deciding she doesn't want to live anymore and it was a fight just to get her to the ER. The holidays aren't looking to good and I'd go to considerable lengths just to get a straight 8 hours of sleep right now but that ships not on the horizon. Still have to get her to more medical appointments, fulfill customer orders, not slap a few doctors and family members up side the head and several other orders on my to do list. Yeah, tell me all about how I have to take care of myself but right now every ship in the harbor seems to be sinking and I have the only bucket to bail with and the knowledge to use it.

Thanks in advance for any prayer I can get!

I have been in some very similar situations (more than once or twice) and can really understand where you're coming from. You will be in my prayers.

Praying for smooth sailing and plenty of sleep through the Holidays. It sounds as if you have a pretty good attitude in regards to all the health issues going on. Keep on smiling and hang in there!

Praying for you and family! I think we have all been there one time or another more than once and that is when we truly need to lean on Jesus more for He is the One Who elates us up above our trials! I pray you get some much needed sleep and things will look better for you with clearer thinking to pray and ask God for help, for He says ask and ye shall receive, even though He knows all about us and what we really need! It may not look like it for you now, but God works all things out for our good and for His purpose!

Prayer: Dear Father in Heaven, please help Sailorman to get the much needed sleep that will give him more strength and wisdom to help him solve his trials easier with Jesus' caring help and be with his mom and wife who have illnesses and the whole family to be better and to enjoy Jesus' birthday season with blessings of healing and by meeting their needs from You more and more! Praise God and Thank You, Jesus, for answering our prayers for Sailorman! Amen! Ma Betty
