Prayer request from a family friend - she writes:

"Toni - my cat has been sick for about 5 months now. In March she just plain
stopped eating and began loosing weight. She is 13 years old this past June
and she has always been 11.2 lbs. We have had her to the vet so much, and
tried to find out WHY she wasn't eating. This morning I again took her to the
vet because she again has lost a lot of weight while we were away on vacation. She is now down to 6 lbs 4 oz.

The Dr. is now fairly sure that it is cancer and our chances are slim. Even if it turns out to be the one cancer that he says has a good recover rate with chemo - the odds are that we would only extend her life about 2 years. So Ken and I have decided to put her out of her misery so today I have an apt at 4:40 to put her to sleep.

I have had her since she was only 6 weeks old and we have been through so much together. She has been the BEST companion a person could hope for and she was my best friend when I was single. I am having such a hard time right now with this decision and having an even harder time trying to get my fingers to type this message.

So PLEASE, say some prayers for us. I so badly need God's arms around
me right now.

Sassy Catterton

Thanks for your prayers my brothers and sisters in Christ.

this sounds so familiar to my situation. I had a cat named Tasha who I had to have put to sleep because she was getting old and losing weight. Yet she ate food all the time but there is one problem. She threw up occasionally after she ate. Not right away just in spurts. And she was so skinny you could hard make her out like she used to be. She was a sweet cat too. Here is a pic before I took her to animal center.

a little white fur ball with blue eyes when given to my daughter at the age of 14! He was my companion and pal for many years after the divorce and she brought him back to be with me! The grieving is just terrible! May God comfort and strengthen her with His loving arms around her!

God Bless!

It's a hard decision to make, but God will take care of all his creatures in His own way.
