A couple of years ago, through another Christian musician, I met a man named Johnny Desha. He lives in Texas. Turned out he's a believer and a musician too. We've never met but we've emailed each other over the years and had a phone conversation or two; we've shared CD's, life stories, prayer requests... Well I hadn't heard from him since he last emailed me this past September. He said that he had just gotten out of the hospital after a long stay although he didn't give me any details. I recently emailed him again but didn't get a response. Vicky got in touch with the friends that introduced me to him (they go to the same church). They wrote back and asked for prayer for him. Turns out he's got lung cancer and is undergoing treatments. They say that he has been so faithful, no matter how he's feeling, he never misses a day at church.
I'd really appreciate it if you could also lift him up in prayer. Although we've never met, I consider him a good friend and a brother in Christ.
