Prayer request 2.

My job isn't working out well, business is bad. I am considering quiting and looking for a better position. In the mean time I can try and pick up some carpet cleaning work, (I was trying to get out of the business), until I find another job. I am so thankful that the Lord found a buyer for our house, His timing was perfect because otherwise we couldn't pay our bills.

There are several people I have been witnessing to at work, so I hate to bail out right now, but it is actually costing me money to go to work, I'm not making enough to cover my gas and lunch. I am not complaining, and with selling our house we are able to meet all our needs, but I have to consider the future and the fact that I have very little time with my family.

Am I thinking selfishly? Should I hang in there? I know business will pick up, but is it fair to Carol and the kids?

Heck, I don't know what to do. I sure wish I could make a living with my metal detectors!:)

Anyway, thanks for listening and I appreciate your prayers!!!

Doug

...he also gave us a noodle and He expects us to use it.

Remember the Eunic? How could he survive? All he had was the gospel and the Lord Jesus on his side? The people you have been witnessing to...God has it all planned. Perhaps you were to just plant and water. Maybe around the corner, you will be the HARVESTER! Bring certain people into other people's live is merely child's play for the God of all creation!

You have trusted him with your eternity. Trust Him for the here and now. Spit in satan's eye and remember the God has placed you as the head of your household, to lead it in a godly fashion. Pray hard and step out with a full 30" step! There is someone needing to hear the Good News and they are in your path--maybe next week, tomorrow, next month, only God knows.

Iron sharpens iron. Speak with your pastor or your accountability partner(s). It will become clear to you. <><

I was "laid-off" 5 years ago in April. I went 14 months without a job. The Lord made sure that we never missed paying any bill. He gave me a temp job doing what I had been doing, cad designer, and when that ended the company that had laid me off called and wanted to know if I would come back and do a two week project. I have been there ever since and have been hired on as a new employee. Less money and starting over on vacation time but I do have a job and some medical insurance.
Man will let you down but Jesus won't. It helps to know that Jesus and the troops are pulling for you.
Keep us posted and be ready for what GOD has to offer.
May God bless you and yours,
Paul(NWO)

Hang in there Doug. God's had this thing all worked out before you even knew you had a problem... He surely has never let you down yet. Have a good talk with Him... I pray the result will be a decision that will fill you a wonderful peace.
