sometimes what appears to be colds or flu symptoms is a gas problem in a house leaking.
Had that happen to my first wife and I when a pilot light on a small heater in our living area went out. We thought we had the flu....we were slowly being poisoned by the gas. We went to a doctor and determined we didn't have the flu. Just a thought.

Prayers for your mom and dad, Jeff! and try not to get their colds by having faith in Jesus' protection! Also, wash your hands often, as Mike (chgo area) posted! An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure! Be safe, stay well and rejoice in the Lord's blessings!
