Praise Team at our church !!!!

I realized that I have never mentioned that my wife and I are members of the praise team at our church. What a pleasure it is to sing for the Glory of God, and to lead the church into praise and worship.
Joe G. will know exactly what I mean.My wife Marcella is the lady to my left. We don't have musicians, but make the best of canned music. That way we can pick the very best.

Reminds me of the country church I used to attend, although there was an old piano and guitars! Nice looking group!

God Bless!

I sure do know what you mean about leading Praise and Worship! I don't know if I ever told you this but I've been doin' it for something like 15 years. Started off with me on guitar, another singer on the piano and a harmonia player (if you can believe it :) ). The first song we ever did was the hymn "The Battle Belongs to the Lord". The song went well, but there were many people at that time who were, shall we say, not into introducing P&W in the service. :) Turns out that was the perfect song to start out with 'cause there surely was a battle going on for quite some time.

From that simple beginning, God has continued to bless it and build on it. We now have not one, but 3 praise and worship bands! The original Praise band (or the "old" praise band as the kids call us), a group that is more in a 20-30's age group, and the youth team... all under 18. All have piano, drums, bass, guitars, sometimes horns, violin too and multiple singers. It has become a very important part of the service and our "new" Pastor works with each team to ensure everything flows perfectly with the service and his sermon. It really is amazing.

Almost forgot to ask... What are some of your favorites?
