Power Lines and an MX5

L.A.R.T

New member
I got permission to hunt an old homestead that located next to power lines. I'm still green in regards to metal detecting, but I've read a lot about machines being "chirpy" around power lines. I've also read that some say the MX5 is a noisy machine to begin with. Any suggestions on how I should set up my MX5 to limit interference or noise? Thx

I'v always turned down the Sensitivity when encountering EMI...........I start at 8... and have turned it down to 4 and still get plenty of depth..My 2¢

Thx Obi Wan Hombre

Ditto Hombre, in situations where I get real close to noisy power lines, 4 to 5 is where it settles down.
