power button

my etrac is only about a month old and the power button only works a bout half the time. anybody else have this problem? had to push it about 30 times or more last time out, before it powered up.

I would be contacting Minelab and get that fixed.

Could be your battery contacts aren't real good too.

I have the same problem with mine. Are you leaving the battery pack in between uses? Don't! I have to remove mine after every hunt or it will not power up the next day. (The power button has no effect as if there are no batteries in it at all) If you forget, just take the pack out for 30 minutes to an hour and it should power right up then. Simply removing the battery pack and slipping it immediatly back in will not work. Don't ask me why because I have no idea but I haven't had the problem since. I'm in Europe so I haven't used the rechargeable yet so I don't know if it will happen then. Are you using AAs or the rechargeable? I almost shipped mine back so I'm glad I figured it out, I couldn't bare being without it!
