Powder Keg

Last year I had done some detecting in Tappahanock around an old colonial home that is still lived in today. The owner was an older man that loved relic hunting in his younger days. He shared alot of info and some great tips. He told me to come back any time. Unfortunately, he died last month after fighting a long battle with cancer. His son called me and ask if I would like to have this powder keg, a leather flask and measuring device that his father found about 40 years ago in an old fallen in house. He said that my museum would be the best place for it and his father would have wanted me to have it. That means alot to me and it will be on display with his name on a plague. His son also gave me permission to come back any time and he will show me a few other sites. I'll be going back as soon as the weather gets better. Just wanted to share this with you. By the way, I have written my congressman and reps. on the HB2078. Don't give up. Keep them informed. HH
