Pounded Parks, Meet the CTX

Well, the CTX continues to pull stuff from places that I had previously thought were "hunted out." In the latest installment, I managed a trio of silver dimes - Barber, Merc, and Roosevelt - and a 1951-D Washington Quarter. In addition, I found a few cool tokens. One is brass from a cigar shop, good for a 5-cent soda. There is an aluminum token good for "2 1/2" at a saloon and another aluminum one that is a dance ticket. The photos do not show the Indian cents I found; they needed a dip in the olive oil for a few weeks to clean off some corrosion and tighten up the patina.

I also got a few more Civil War bullets from my skirmish site, all pistol rounds. I dare say that I think that i have dug all but a few from there, all with the CTX. I made a Find Point for each one, and the map lights up like a Christmas tree on the Xchange 2 program. I am hoping to compile the data together for a presentation to the local historical society. I made a video, but haven't got around to compiling it yet. please enjoy the photos.

As a special bonus treat, here is the link to a vide I shot last weenend of a hunt at an old schoolhouse. The school is mostly collapsed now, with lots of iron trash. No silver was found, but I pulled some Wheats and a 1915-D Buffalo nickel. I tried to do some live digs, partially succeeded. Definitely room for improvement next time, but my hunting partner and I had a blast.

This weekend, me and the CTX are going to hit an old trading post store that was in business from 1820-1890. That is about as old as you get here in Missouri.

That is a very nice assortment of goodies Bryan.

I forgot to mention that the ring is 10k gold filled over Sterling silver. I have never found a gold filled ring before, and had to look it up. Apparently, "gold filled" is simply "uber-plating."

A good hunt congrats .:twodetecting::minelab::cheers:
