Pouches???

I'm mostly a dirt digger. But I'm going to have the opportunity to hunt a couple of fresh water beaches. My land pouch won't do as I want to do some wading up past my knees. What would be your recommendation for a finds and trash pouch? Thanks

Hey Kenny!. I know plenty of people use a regular nail apron, even in the water. Including me. Yeah, it might get some sand or a bit of moss in it but big deal. Go for it with what you have!

it is the one on the bottom right. Has 3 compartments. One for trash, one for things like coins, and one hidden for rings and things. I also use the web belt they sell at Kellyco so that everything is non metal.

The pouch is very light weight and doesn't get water logged. Same with the web belt.

The underwater camera and car keys on a clip go in the left pocket, finds go in the right pocket and trash or oversized finds go in the back pocket. This light weight jacket provides good sun protection as well.
I always wear gloves when hunting to avoid cuts from broken glass (pulled a nasty piece out of the hole last night) and to cover the rings I find which go right onto my finger and are then concealed by the gloves. People watching assume you are washing sand out of your glove so no problem there. If people want to see my loot I'll show them the clad in my pocket not the rings on my fingers. If they have lost something and I've found it, then no problem but they have to describe it to me first.
I have a fanny pouch but rarely use it because it gets in the way when swinging a coil out in chest deep water.

I use Tesoro pouch. Has a zipper so you don't loose the good stuff,
and a second pouch for junk. Nylon so lasts long time.

Hi Khouse, I have been an AVID Waterhunter for approx. (7)yrs. now!! I personally use a MESH Pouch that is Black in Color, that is sold by one of the Forum sponsors Ronny Dugger of RON'S Dixie Metal Detectors in Brandon, Miss. I believe he sells it for $8.95, PLUS Shipping. It is very well made, and he sells that particular pouch at a Cheaper Price than some other dealers. I also wear one of those Camp Ground Plastic Soap Containers that are on a cord that hangs around your neck to store my GOOD FINDS in (GOLD/SILVER Jewelry/Silver Coins)! This container is about the size of a cigarette pack, so you can fit quite a bit of GOOD FINDS in it! NOW all I have to do, is FIND the GOOD STUFF to put in it!! Hope this helps, hh, Les Robinson

Arent there also mesh divers pouches?
