Im just curious as to what pouches you guys use..these all work with the lesche or raptor 31 except the larger leather pouch..i made the digger sheaths slightly bigger so it would hold both..the two green pouches have mesh bottoms to let dirt fall out..they all work with any of the gpp style pinpointers... I use cuff cases for my batteries on my belt so i always have a 9v and 4 AA batteries with me.

99% of my hunting is in urban parks and school yards. ON the grass. These are the tools I use.
I have a leather sunray similar to your leather pouch and love it. Only it gets a little heavy.
This is my current set up.

The plastic rake is for tot lots with wood chips and cut up rubber.
The Rose clippers are far better for clearing away smaller tree roots.
The 10" plastic gold pan is for the removed dirt from below the root line of the grass. It keeps all the dirt in one place and is easy to replace back in the hole.
Using Hockey tape on the handles of your diggers will keep your hands from sliding up the handle in wet grass.

Nice gear! :clapping:

I will throw this out there as an opposite end of the pouch spectrum to get some dialog going...I started out and have stayed completely retro in the pouch/tool dept, minimalist in fact, no knee pads even....I hunt a lot of totlots and whatnot, so I gotta be fast to get in and out and down the road on to the next location without a lot of fanfare...sure, I hunt a lot of schoolyards, sportsfields, and parks too, beaches even, and I've often thought about maybe sewing on some velcro to be just a few seconds quicker with the ties...anyway, balanced, simple, and trustworthy gear is an important part of the overall pleasure of this Sport, I dont even have a pinpointer unless you consider an Fpoint as one!

For those that prefer a minimalist approach, these cheap nail bags, a screwdriver, and maybe a small lock back knife is all a guy really needs to hit the dirt...dont need a trowel if a fellow wants shallow inland jewelry and clad... Sweet rigs you boys have!:clapping:
Mud.

All i use is the Garrett pouch with the propointer attached by a lanyard so i dont loose it,all i carry is a spare set of batteries, coil bolt, finds box and a GPS for logging my finds and that is basically all i carry with me,apart from the detector the spade is the only other basic think i carry.

If i bring the Pulse out i then use a GPX harness as well and that usually carries a few extra items as well but much prefer to travel light when out detecting,if i am on a large permission then i will carry a mobile phone and a small 1st aidkit as well just incase as i could well be a fair distance from the 4x4.

I've just been using a plastic bag and my cargo pants pockets recently...I really need to get a pouch this year!! What's the brand name on those green mesh pouches Basstrackerman?

Look up metal detecting pouches on ebay.. I changed mine some for my liking..but very well built...

Check out Sears, Loews, Home Depot, local hardware. Carpenters pouches, there's a variety, leather, canvas, etc. I don't know anyone having one like Mudpuppy. If he wares anymore holes in his , it might be good hunting following him around. lol

Half Vests (used for sport shooting clays) make GREAT pouches. I have a heavy leather pounch from Lowe's, but honestly, I got tired of the weight and having it drag my pants down. I love my Browning Half Vest though.
